Deconversion is a perpetual topic in my Satanic corner of the world. When you reach out to me about my experiences, I hear a lot of folks saying that they are coming from a Christian background but they are beginning to question if their god exists and they don’t know where to go from here. The mere fact that I receive these questions tells me that there are people out there who feel trapped and already know that they aren’t Christian, but who can’t fully emancipate themselves from it. As Satanists we have options available to us for breaking past religious influence such as the Black Mass (I mean, hah, don’t make me define “available!”) but those who haven’t yet crossed the line in the sand are still in bondage. These, you folks, you don’t feel like you have any tools to help you free yourself because of the influence that religion continues to have on you, even if you’re unhappy. Thankfully, you’re wrong. Yeah, you’re wrong, aren’t you happy to hear that? You, like the rest of us, have magic within you. You can break imaginary chains with that power if you know how to use that magic. I did it. I used that power on myself and I’ll show you how.

Like all good stories, this one was unexpected and came about through a series of coincidental events which I could never have expected to unravel the way that they had. If you’d asked me about this in 2016, I would have said to you that it was impossible, that it wasn’t in my plans, and so it would never happen…but the writers of the world will nod with their faint knowing smirks at the truth that sometimes imagination takes us by the scruff of the neck and holds us hostage to where passion drives us. What we plan isn’t necessarily what we end up doing, and by the end of it, nothing is ever as straightforward as it seems.
This summer I've done something that makes me very proud. It's one of the reasons why I've been a bit scarce online, but of course, you know that as a Satanist this only means that I'm living life to its fullest, and damn yes, I have been. You see, these past months several major things have happened: 1. I got married and had a Satanic wedding, 2. I took my wife to a place she’s wanted to see her entire life for her honeymoon, and then 3., when I got back home, I decided to curse my boss. Whoa, hold up! You wouldn’t think that I’d jump to something like that after coming home from a nice little happy period of R&R, would you? Well, there is something nice about clearing your head by having fun, but this curse is something that I had been working with for a while. You've heard me talk in the past about how crucial timing is, and you've probably read my post about the use of advanced magic in Satanism—so now you’re probably wondering…just what did Ave do, and most importantly: did it work?
Written in 1969 by Anton LaVey and published by Avon Books after several refusals from other publishing houses due to nature of its content, the Satanic Bible is revered as the central doctrine of Satanism, and is a required read for any person looking to understand the religion in general or for their own purposes. The book itself is not written as other religious texts are, but presents more as a philosophical manifesto that includes everything from commentary in essays on critical concepts that make up the religion to occult resources dating back as early the 17th century.
I get a lot of questions about my Satanic magic, and it’s no surprise: I tout myself as a successful witch because I am one. Still, I’ve never crawled in bed with psychology, and I certainly haven’t studied hypnotism or the occult in any capacity beyond mere passing curiosity. What makes me a successful witch is that I’m willing to try things that others aren’t; and that includes advanced magic practices that combine the different types of magic in Satanism. If you haven’t familiarized yourself with the two types of magic in Satanism at this point in your research you should probably do so before going any further to avoid potential confusion or misunderstanding of what I refer to when I describe my personal magical practice.
Undoubtedly you are familiar with the elements of the Satanic Ritual, and I may have said on more than one occasion explained that I find them therapeutic, not supernatural, so I’ll refrain from saying so again, but it doesn’t mean that the elements that I choose to perform my ritual aren’t chosen with precision and care. The tools I use are selected for an exact purpose, and if something isn’t right with one of them it drives a wedge into the process and for me at least: will impair me in trying to achieve my goal. Ritual props are important. Let’s talk about Ritual props and just how important they are, and I’ll tell you about why I decided to make my own Book of Brimstone from scratch with these two hands of my own.
This is a personalized, customized ceremony that it linked to another ceremony that will be held on Walpurgisnacht. Although it follows the sentiment of a Satanic ritual, please bear in mind that this ritual is non-traditional. It has been customized for maximum impact in the ritual chamber. It is for this same reason that some readings from the Satanic Bible have been removed and alternate text (of arguably more relevant context) have replaced it. That said, this psychodrama can be performed in the creative abyss of your own mind rather than the real world IF you are creative enough to sink yourself that deeply into it. It is strongly recommended that if you were to go this route that you would still listen to the ambient music and still physically touch your totems.
I have shared some commentary on the best way to set up your altar within the instructions below. Not shared is information about attire. It is traditional to wear all black for Satanic Rituals, and if you are female to don something that enhances your power as a lady—usually by wearing something promiscuous. This is up to you. My suggestion is to wear whatever aids you in recognizing your own inner black flame. You are a god. Be sure to dress like one… Shall we begin? I promised recently that I would share with you a slice of our ceremony so that if you were interested in celebrating with us on Walpurgisnacht you would be able to do so. There is a little bit of prepwork involved, and while most if not all of these things should be available there is a chance that maybe you need a little time to put it together so here is a list of materials that you will need for the ritual which I will release to you on Walpurgisnacht eve.
Are you aware of the Satanic Ceremony taking place next week on Walpurgisnacht? It’s a pretty important one for me in particular, and it’s not because the occasion is as rare as Haley’s Comet (It's rarer). It’s something that my fiancée and I have been planning for the past two years, and there will never be anything like it, I can guarantee it. Some of you may be aware, but for those who don’t: my Satanist fiancée and I are getting married, and the Satanic Wedding Celebration will be Walpurgisnacht.
This week in Unholy Book Club we wrapped up our discussion about the Six Satanic Laws of Power as found in “The Satanic Warlock” by Magister Dr. Robert Johnson. This may have been one of our best discussions on the matter so far so if you weren’t able to be a part of it, I highly recommend swinging by the Unholy Book Club chat to review as it’ll certainly be worth your while, and I also thoroughly recommend grabbing a copy of “The Satanic Warlock” for yourself since although we discussed some of the points in this book, there is no way that we would be able to discuss all of the great tips Magister Johnson has therein from his perspective as a successful Satanic Warlock.
If this is your first encounter with the Six Satanic Laws of Power, you may be interested to check out part 1 of this series where we discussed the Satanic art of seduction and guerilla invisibility! This time we dove into the idea of such fun areas as how to be as cunning as a fox and how to take power when it demands to be seized! This past week in Unholy Book Club, a book club where we Satanists and those interested in Satanic written philosophy gather to discuss it, we reviewed “The Satanic Warlock” by Magister Dr. Robert Johnson. It’s a book which has been in my “Must read” list for some time, but I never had the excuse to order it before I lead a round of discussion. The topic I chose to talk about was the 6 Satanic Laws of Power. I felt as if I could personally verify some of them due to my own experiences and I wanted to hear some of the thoughts of some of the other Unholy Book Club attendees. Magister Dr. Robert Johnson explains to us in The Satanic Warlock what he considers to be the Six Laws of Satanic Power. Clearly, since this is written with the male warlock in mind, a male warlock would be able to apply these to their own lives, but what of the female witch? The answer? Read on.
Recently I’ve been writing quite a bit about magic in Satanism and it’s apparent from the questions you’ve asked that you’re curious about what these terms mean to me as a Satanist since they mean other things in other religions. I’d be remiss if I didn’t explain my personal perspective in the philosophy to you fully since the goal of this blog is to clear up any misconceptions about Satanism! I thoroughly recommend giving The Satanic Bible a read for information on magic in Satanism which isn’t only my own opinion on it, but for those of you who are seeking clarification on the fundamentals and my use of the terms specifically in this blog, look no further. Lesser Magic in Satanism Enchantments / Spells / Blessings / Curses in Satanism Recently I’ve been writing quite a bit about magic in Satanism and it’s apparent from the questions you’ve asked that you’re curious about what these terms mean to me as a Satanist since they mean other things in other religions. Greater Magic in Satanism Rituals in Satanism Sorry, kid. You’re SOL. If you have to ask for a thing it’s too expensive, so you may as well put your head down and just accept what’s happening to you…Or not. You are a Satanist after all, and those venom-coated fangs and knife-like talons are aching to help you cut yourself free from whatever disaster you see yourself in. It is said that belief in being cursed will lend energy to the curse itself, but how could you ever change what you don’t identify as unacceptable? Admitting you’re afflicted with something is the first step, and there is a way to prevent it from strengthening that curse so long as you keep your wits about you.
Lesser Magic curses are absolutely the most embarrassing sort to be afflicted with. If you’re afflicted with a Lesser Magic curse, you’ve suffered a multifaceted attack that will have drained your supplies of everything the magician desired, and you may in the end find yourself feeling rather skeletal, bound, and without liberty to move forward. Nobody likes to feel like their world is spinning out of control, and you may not even know the witch who has cursed you—and they, fairly, may not even realize that you are affected by their orchestrations—but regardless there is a way, contrary to what founder Anton LaVey proposes. There are quite a few questions that a person can ask a Satanist that are downright offensive because they automatically assume that the Satanic witch is an unscrupulous, morally defunct, and psychopathic monster who partners with the evilest of evil kings in order to enjoy a few simple pleasures before their ultimate demise and eternal damnation in an empire of fire and brimstone. Need I really comment on how far from the truth this really is? I think instead I’ll choose not to dignify it with a response. The question that I get the most from those following the Right-Hand Path about magic for some reason happens to be: “What about the morality of it?” The morality? I understand that this is a valid question that comes from a genuine place, but it never fails to remind me just how misinformed the world is to the Satanic craft.
